Obscura Mondo Cinema

This summer, cinema Obscura Mondo opens at the Lime Tree Gallery.   The cinema, which seats up to sixty people will show award winning 'obscure' cinema from around the world every Thursday at 7 pm. Obscura Mondo opens 21st July with a showing of multi award winning film Timbuktu, and the summer season of 12 films runs until October. The new digital cinema club is the idea of Lime Tree Gallery owner David Wilson.
David said
'I think it's over ten years since the cinema closed in Fort William. I know I miss going to the cinema. There is something special about going out to see a film and because our cinema in the Fort closed we miss so many great films. This cinema will show films from around the world of cinema. We've got a wide range of films for our first season from Iranian Taxi Movies to Indian love stories. What we can offer is comfortable viewing of unusual digital films an excellent sound system and carefully chosen award winning films to enjoy the weird and wonderful world of cinema.'
The cinema is open to the general public and members. Membership is free but booking ahead is recommended.
On cinema nights, there will be a special pre cinema menu available in the restaurant, 2 courses for only £19.95 including ticket price. Don't miss this amazing opportunity to try our award winning restaurant - booking is essential.
