Some information about West Highland Colelge, formerly known as Lochaber College, UHI in Fort Willam, Kinlochleven, Strontian, Kilchoan and Mallaig.

West Highland College, formerly known as Lochaber College, founded in 1998 is a full Academic Partner of the University of the Highlands and Islands Millennium Institute (UHIMI), and seeks to meet the learning needs and aspirations of the communities of Lochaber on an open inclusive basis to the highest possible standards.

The College negotiates, co-ordinates and quality assures learning opportunities from a wide range of providers both from within the UHI and the local community. At each of our learning centres in Lochaber, we offer further education and higher education courses accessible on an evening, part-time, full-time, or modular basis, from leisure classes to full degree programmes.

There are currently five linked Centres which together form West Highland College: Fort William, Kinlochleven, Mallaig, Kilchoan and Strontian, and the key aim of the college staff team in each is to provide the most welcoming and supportive learning environment possible for students of all ages and of all disciplines.
